The three brands we install most in Sydney homes and businesses — and the question we get asked most often. Here’s an honest comparison from a technician who’s installed and serviced all three for 25 years.

Daikin — Best Overall

Daikin is Japanese-owned and manufactures most of its components in-house. It’s consistently the most popular brand we install, with excellent reliability, good parts availability across Sydney, and strong performance in both heating and cooling. The Daikin Cora and Alira ranges are particularly good value for residential.

Mitsubishi Electric — Best for Quiet Operation

Mitsubishi Electric makes the quietest indoor units on the market — important if you’re installing in a bedroom or study. Their systems are also excellent in cold weather, maintaining heating performance at lower outdoor temperatures than most brands. Slightly more expensive than Daikin but worth it for bedrooms.

Fujitsu — Best Value

Fujitsu offers strong performance at a lower price point than Daikin or Mitsubishi. We install a lot of Fujitsu in investment properties and commercial fitouts where cost is a priority. Reliable and parts are easy to get across Sydney.

Our Recommendation

For most Sydney homes: Daikin. For bedrooms or if noise is a concern: Mitsubishi Electric. Budget-conscious or investment property: Fujitsu. All three brands carry a 5-year warranty when installed by an authorised dealer.
